The Authentic Knitting Board Company came out with the Rotating Double Knit Loom and I finally got my hands on it. I have never been good at single-knit loom knitting so when I saw I could create hats using the double-knit loom knitting method, I was so excited!
Using this loom did take a bit of getting used to. It stands higher than I’m used to with a regular loom so it took a bit of adjustment but it didn’t take long. I absolutely love being able to spin the loom while knitting. I did (and still do) have a bit of a tough time hooking over the inside loom. I just can’t seem to get the hang of the awkward angle.
But, I persevered and created a darling knit hat. The size of the hat is on the small side so will really fit a smaller adult head. However, if you do enjoy single knit loom knitting, you can remove the inside loom and single knit using the outside loom on its own. Either way, it’s a great loom and I’m so glad I have it.
The nice thing is that it comes apart and can easily be stored away. It’s a great price and available at the Knittingboard site as well as Amazon* and craft shops like JoAnne’s and Michaels.
