Laddering is the gap or stretchy stitching you see when working on larger projects. Not only is it annoying but frustrating Here’s an easy way to avoid this problem.
Instead of hooking over your yarn from right to the middle and left to the middle, stagger hooking. Start hooking some stitches over in the middle, then hook over some stitches on one end then the other. On a very large piece, stagger even more. It may seem like it takes longer but, in the end, your piece will come out much nicer!
